Partnership with the first Smart Industry awards in Lithuania
We have partnered with the Smart Industry awards for the most advanced manufacturing companies, which were held in Lithuania for the first time. The awards were organized by the business news portal Verslo zinios, along with the Confederation of Lithuanian Industrialists and the professional services company Ernst & Young Baltic (EY).
"Manufacturing sector in Lithuania generates more than 21% of GDP and is one of the most important engines of our country's economy. Given the significant transformation challenges that manufacturing companies face today, it is crucial for them to implement innovations in a timely manner and shift towards sustainable production. We support the progress of our industrial companies by joining these awards," says Leda Irzikeviciene, Country Manager of the Lithuanian branch.
We would like to congratulate ROL Lithuania for winning the top award of the year, as well as Orion Global PET and Klaipedos baldai for their successful participation. Peikko Lietuva, Grigeo, and Klaipedos mediena also won awards at the ceremony held in Kaunas.
"Manufacturing companies will inevitably have to transform and become smart and sustainable, so it is important to share good practices, show changes, sustainability solutions that have already been implemented. I believe that this will encourage other companies to learn more about the latest trends and prepare more successfully for changes in their factories," notes Leda Irzikeviciene.
Out of the submitted applications, 12 companies were selected and made it to the finals. Similar competitions are organized in other European countries such as Poland, Germany, Slovenia, and Austria.
