Financing secured for the New Ferry Terminal reconstruction in Klaipeda
We have signed an agreement with AB Smiltynes perkela for the financing of the reconstruction of the public spaces and passenger station of the New Ferry Terminal in Klaipeda. The total project value amounts to EUR 13.89 million.

"Both the financing and construction contracts represent a strategic milestone in the project's implementation. The project is set to commence later this year, with plans to complete it by the second half of 2025," says Mindaugas Ciakas, General Director of AB Smiltynės perkela.
"We are delighted to continue our longstanding partnership with Smiltynes perkela and embark on another joint project. This investment will significantly contribute to the improvement of Lithuania's coastal infrastructure and enhance our country's appeal to those visiting the Curonian Spit," says Leda Irzikeviciene, Country Manager of the OP Corporate Bank Lithuania branch.
The reconstruction will encompass over 20,000 square meters of land, with the passenger station's 2,500 square meters receiving an upgrade to achieve A-class energy efficiency standards.
Moreover, recreational islands will be developed along the Curonian Lagoon coastline, offering outdoor terraces, green spaces, varying intensity lighting, and infrastructure for cyclists.
The new ferry terminal will welcome visitors with a new 83-space car parking area, a passenger waiting area, a ticket booth, and a café with a terrace overlooking the lagoon and the Curonian Spit landscape. Convenient access to the Curonian Lagoon will be ensured for residents and city guests.
The construction will be carried out by the winner of an international public tender, UAB Infes, with project architects from the Altitudes studio – Gerda Antanaityte, Andrius Laurinaitis, and Aurimas Bauzys.
According to Smiltynes perkela, stable financing will expedite the reconstruction, avoiding fluctuations in construction costs. In collaboration with Smiltynes perkela, we have previously financed the construction of the Klaipeda ferry and the reconstruction of ferry mooring bridges.
