"We are delighted with the bank's confidence in our investment project, which will increase green electricity generation in Lithuania. We plan for the new park to start generating electricity by the middle of the coming year," says Mantas Jankauskas, director of SV Projektai.

The chosen location for the park's construction is strategic – Silute district. This area experiences the highest wind speeds in Lithuania. For this reason, three of the largest wind farms in Lithuania are situated in the Silute district.

"Green financing is one of our sustainability commitments to which we pay great attention. We aim to promote a sustainable economy and contribute to Lithuania's and the European Union's strategic direction of reducing the use of fossil fuels and transitioning to renewable energy," says Martynas Urbsys, Head of Sales at OP Corporate Bank Lithuania.

Together with OP Financial Group we have set a goal to reduce the emission intensity of electricity production financed by us by 50% by 2030.

The total portfolio of sustainable financing commitments at OP Corporate Bank reached EUR 6.0 billion by the end of the first half of the year. This portfolio includes business projects in the Baltic countries and Finland for which loans are granted under the bank's green financing program.
